There are two ways on how to renew the Philippine Passport in Malaysia. Personal appearance of the applicant is required.
Option #1: You can renew the passport at the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia.
Option #2: You can go to the Consular Outreach Mission. The Mission provides consular services to different locations in Malaysia.
Passport Renewal at the Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Step 1: Go to the Embassy and bring the complete requirements.
- Accomplished e-Passport application form
- Original Philippine passport
- Photocopy of the passport’s data page
- Self-addressed envelope (for the delivery of the new passport through mail)
- Fee: RM 288.00
Check the additional requirements for married women, dual citizens, minor, first-time applicants, and those who have lost their passport.

Step 2: Check online the status of the passport application. The Embassy will post the list of applicants whose passport is ready to be released.

Step 3: Claim the e-Passport at the Philippine Embassy in Thailand and bring the requirements depending on who will get the passport. You can also receive the new passport through mail by providing self-addressed envelope during the application.
Passport Claim by Applicant
- Official receipt
- Old passport for cancellation
Passport Claim by Authorized Person or Immediate Family Member
Immediate family members include father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, and children of legal age.
- Applicant’s old passport
- Official receipt
- Notarized authorization letter
- Passport or valid ID of the authorized representative
Minor’s Passport Claim by Authorized Person or Immediate Family Member
The new passport shall be released only to parents or adult siblings or to an authorized representative.
- Minor’s old passport
- Official receipt
- Special Power of Authority or Affidavit of Support and Consent
- Passport or valid ID of the authorized representative
- Birth certificate of the minor
Passport Renewal at the Consular Outreach Mission
The steps in renewing the passport through the Consular Outreach are the same if you would do it in the Philippine Embassy but with few additions.
