You can renew the Philippine passport in United Arab Emirates through the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
How to Renew the Philippine Passport in the Embassy of the Philippines, Abu Dhabi
Step 1: Book an online appointment for e-Passport renewal.
You should book an appointment 10 months prior to expiration of the Philippine passport with the exception of the following:
- Children 12 years old and below
- People 60 years old and above (senior citizens)
- Visibly pregnant women
- People with special needs
The exempted applicant can proceed to the Courtesy Lane.
Step 2: Go to the appointment with the requirements for the passport renewal. Arrive 15 minutes ahead of the schedule.
- Accomplished e-Passport application form
- 2 photocopies of the passport data page
- Passport fee of AED 240.00
- Email Confirmation of Appointment
Check the other requirements for change of name because of different circumstances and for other types of passport application.
Step 3: Claim your passport at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, 8 to 12 weeks (processing time) after the application. Check the Passport for Release page to check if your passport is ready to be released.
If you cannot personally claim the passport, you can authorize immediate family members to claim the passport with the following documents:
- Applicant’s old passport
- Receipt
- Authorization letter
- Original and photocopy of ID of the authorized family member
2 Ways on How to Renew the Philippine Passport in Philippine Consulate General, Dubai
Both method requires a passport applicant to book an online appointment but make only ONE appointment of either way:
- You can renew the passport at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai.
- You can also wait for the announcement on the website about the Consular Outreach. The Consulate will go to different locations to provide consular services. If you’re ready, you can book an appointment for the Consular Outreach.

How to Renew in Person the Philippine Passport at the Consulate General in Dubai
The process in renewing the Philippine passport in Dubai is not that different if you choose to do so at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi.
Step 1: Book an online appointment for e-Passport renewal. To avoid any issues, don’t make multiple bookings. You will have to register as part of the process.
The following DO NOT need to make an online appointment: household service worker, seafarers, senior citizens, and children below 12 years old.
Step 2: Go to the appointment with the requirements for the passport renewal.
- Accomplished e-Passport application form and OAV form
- 2 photocopies of the passport data page
- Photocopy of the Visa page
- Passport fee of AED 240.00
- Email Confirmation of Appointment
Check the other requirements for minor, dual citizen, etc.
Passport Appointment: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm (cut-off)
Step 3: Claim your passport at the Philippine Consulate General in Dubai. Check the Passport for Release page to check if your passport is ready to be released. Check the latest update on the website every Tuesday or Wednesday.
Reminder:
- Don’t call the Consulate to re-confirm availability of your passport.
- Send an email (epassportpcgdubai@pcgdubai.ae) for delayed passports (more than 8 weeks)
