There are two ways on how to renew the Philippine Passport in Spain. Personal appearance of the applicant is required.
Option #1: You can renew the passport at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid from Monday to Friday (9:00 am – 5:00 pm).
Option #2: You can book an appointment online for the Consular Outreach Mission. The Mission will go to different locations in Spain to provide consular services.

Passport Renewal at the Philippine Embassy in Madrid, Spain
Step 1: Go to the Embassy and bring the complete requirements.
- Accomplished e-Passport application form
- Original Philippine passport
- Photocopy of the passport’s data page
- Fee: EUR 54.00 (cash)
Processing Time: 4-6 weeks
Check the additional requirements for those who belong to any of the following categories:
- Permanent residents in Spain
- Dual citizens
- Seamen
- Minor
- Newborn babies
- Married women: married in Spain, in the Philippines, or abroad (countries other than Spain)
Passport applicants are required to dress appropriately:
- For men: decent shirt with collar
- For women: decent attire with or without collar, no sleeveless shirts, and no plunging necklines
Step 2: Check online the status of the passport application. The Embassy will post the list of applicants whose passport is ready to be released.

Step 3: Claim the e-Passport at the Philippine Embassy in Spain and bring the requirements.
- Official receipt
- Old passport for cancellation
For those who cannot personally get the new passport, follow the instruction on the small sheet of paper which was given during the renewal of passport at the Embassy.
Passport Renewal at the Consular Outreach Mission
Step 1: Book an appointment online to secure a spot in the Consular Outreach Mission in different locations in Spain like Barcelona and Valencia.
Step 2: Bring all the requirements. (Same as in Step 1 when renewing the passport at the Embassy.)
Step 3: Check online the status of the passport application. The Embassy will post the list of consular outreach applicants whose passport is ready to be released.
