2 Ways of Renewing the Philippine Passport

  1. Go to the Consulate with the complete requirements for passport renewal.
  2. Go to the consular outreach program in different locations in Japan. The Philippine Consulate General in Osaka will conduct the outreach so check the Advisories on the homepage for the updated schedule.

How to Renew the Philippine Passport in the Philippine Consulate General in Osaka, Japan

  1. Go to the Consulate wearing a decent attire. You can go by bus, train, or subway. Or go on board all of these transportations.
  2. Bring the complete requirements:
    • Accomplished e-Passport application form
    • Old passport
    • Photocopy of passport photo/data page. (Bring 2 photocopies of the passport data page if you intend to register as an overseas voter.)
    • Self-addressed envelope (120 x 235 mm / Nagagata-3) with ¥930-worth of postage stamps
      Passport fee of ¥7,800 (cash only)

Make all photocopies on A4-size paper before arriving at the Consulate.

How to Renew the Philippine Passport Through the Consular Outreach Program

Application for new passport and passport renewal are allowed during the consular outreach mission.

NO walk-in applicant will be entertained so make sure to save your spot way ahead of time.

Step 1: Send by mail to the Consulate the accomplished passport application form along with the photocopy of all the requirements before the deadline. DO NOT include cash and the old passport. You can give it on the day of the outreach.

Note: Write outside the mailing envelope the venue of the outreach (for example: Nagoya Consular Outreach).

Step 2: Check the list of applicants who are able to submit the complete e-Passport application on the PCG’s website or Facebook Page. The list (and information about the schedule and venue) will be released one week before the outreach.

Step 3: Bring all the requirements on the day of the outreach including the following:

  • Old passport
  • Self-addressed envelope (120 x 235 mm / Nagagata-3) with 930 Yen stamps (Registered Express Mail).

The new passport will be sent using the self-addressed envelope.
